Stunning summer meadow scene featuring the beautiful British bird of prey the Barn Owl. He sits resting in the corner of the meadow on some old farming machinery, grasses blowing gently in the summer breeze, trees in full leaf which have been cleverly blurred in the back ground to give great emphasis on the Barn Owl. 

Barn Owls also hunt during the day (diurnal) although not a common site but is on the increase which could be down to the activity patterns of their main source of food the Field Vole and Shrew. The dangers for Barn Owls hunting diurnal in Great Britain come from predatory Goshawks and Buzzard's where the latter are now prominent in south & east of England and eastern Scotland.
